Sales Admin / Marketing Assistant

SUMMARY OF POSITION
PT/FT opportunity in Hopewell Junction, NY (12533) for an administrative assistant to support internal office sales and marketing personnel and activities for an international private weather service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly assist the Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Support and assist sales team with sales activities and tasks
  • Manage and route incoming sales calls
  • Enter, edit and revise client data in SalesForce.com (our CRM software)
  • Assist with the development, production, assembly and fulfillment of collateral materials
  • Assist with bulk mailing and emailing campaigns and dispatches
  • Assemble and compile sales related reports, charts, graphs and spreadsheets
  • Assist with the development of PowerPoint presentations
  • Schedule appointments and provide inside support for travelling executives
  • Assist with company events, meetings, seminars and trade shows
  • Assist with qualifying and disqualifying leads
  • Perform sales related research, inquiries and intelligence gathering
  • Proof-read sales and marketing documents
  • Assist with the development, design and editing of company graphic materials (optional)
  • Assist with order entry activities
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Seeking candidates with 3+ year’s administrative experience; sales and marketing support preferred. Other requirements include:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. Must be comfortable with communicating with various internal departments, sales team, customers, and vendors, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-up skills required.
  • Must be dependable, flexible, friendly and outgoing.
  • PC Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) – Required.
  • Experience with SalesForce.Com a plus
  • Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
  • Knowledge of report, letter, etc, format.
  • Knowledge using the Internet, online services and performing web based searches and inquiries
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with salespeople, managers and other levels of personnel.
  • Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
  • Must have the ability to organize and schedule work and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Must have the ability to work well under time constraints and manage deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Experience with twitter and other Internet social networks a plus!
  • Must be able to work with little supervision.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Experience creating Excel spreadsheets, graphs and charts
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Experience in graphic design and the use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
